Billions of discarded masks are becoming an environmental nightmare as every day billions of people throw their used masks out of car windows, into the ocean, or onto the ground.
According to studies, three million paper masks are thrown away across the world every minute of the day! On average, researchers say more than four billion masks are disposed over every day!
This is just the disposable masks we are talking about. Not all the other PPEs such as faceshields and gloves.
According to the researchers:
Recent studies estimated an astounding 129 billion face masks being used globally every month (3 million / minute) and most are disposable face masks made from plastic microfibers (Prata et al., 2020). With increasing reports on inappropriate disposal of masks, it is urgent to recognize this potential environmental threat and prevent it from becoming the next plastic problem.
This is the mess that your Dr. Faucis have created with their hysteria over mask wearing.
Paper masks do not stop viruses. No science anywhere shows that they do.

I spent about three hours picking up litter by the river.
I counted every single mask I picked up.
Guess how many I found. pic.twitter.com/y0kyA9RNxj
