The City of Oakland, California, is taking criticism for a new program giving all needy residents a $500 a month payment… unless your family is white.
If you are white, Oakland says you can starve.
The city recently announced a direct $500 payment to any family that only makes $30,000 a year or less.
The program is supposedly funded by wealthy donors. But, if those donors go away, the taxpayers will be on the hook for this foolishness.
However, the city is being called racist because white families will be excluded — yes, even if they fit the annual salary requirements.
Some residents of Oakland wondered how it was legal for a city to design a program that will only benefit certain races.
According to the Daily Mail:
The group behind the scheme, Oakland Resilient Families, said the idea for race-based payments began in 2020 when Mayor Schaaf pledged to bring a guaranteed income pilot to Oakland.
It states she was inspired in part by Stockton, California, which in 2019 started giving some residents earning under $46,000 per year a monthly check of $500.
Nothing but anti-white racism.
