House Democrats have passed a bill that would pay $7,000 to the families of illegals who died of the coronavirus.
Democrats passed the measure as part of the December COVID-19 relief bill, adding $2 billion for people who have ben harmed by the virus. Some of the money is supposed to go to reimburse people for funeral expenses.
But the Democrats also made sure that this money will also go to illegal aliens.
“If you are a family who couldn’t afford or had to just stretch, went without rent or went without food or anything else so you might give your loved one a decent funeral and burial, you can get reimbursed for up to $7,000 from FEMA,” Sen. Chuck Schumer said at a press conference on Monday.
The funding will be available for funeral costs incurred between Jan. 20, 2020, and Dec. 31, 2020, but not for funerals that took place in 2021, a FEMA spokesperson told CNET. Schumer estimated that more than $200 million of that funding will go to New York, particularly to epicenters of the virus like Corona, Queens.
While few news outlets are reporting the illegal alien angle, Chuck Schumer and the Democrats sent out a fundraising letter telling supporters that illegals will also get the cash.
A fundraising letter notes “The program is retroactive and will reimburse families who lost loved ones to the pandemic as far back as January 2020. It is available to everyone nationwide, including those who are undocumented.”
Here is the text of the fundraising letter:
Once again, Democrats are giving away our tax dollars to illegals.
