It has finally come to light that New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lied about being “in the Capitol building” when a riot occurred on January 6.
The media went wild after Ocasio-Cortez posted a tear-filled video telling her rabid fans that she was scared to death that Ted Cruz and his minions were going to “kill her” during the few hours of the Capitol incursion.
.@AOC describes a Capitol Police officer bursting into her office, says his presence “didn’t feel right” and that he was looking at her “in all of this anger and hostility.” Her staffer reportedly wondered if he would have to fight the officer. pic.twitter.com/LCj2JmmFP6

Should Congress Remove Biden from Office?
Turns out, though, that he big story is all nonsense. Not only was she in no actual danger, but she was about three tents of a mile away from the actual incursion in the Capitol Building.
Despite her crying about it all, she was never in any danger at all.
AOC’s wild story made one of her colleagues, So. Car. Republican Rep. Nancy Mace, confused. AOC’s recounting of the scene was dramatic, but it all seemed a bit over the top as far as Mace was concerned.
It turns out that AOC was in the Cannon House Office Building, not the Capitol Building as so many members of the media claimed. The marauders who entered the Capitol Building never came anywhere near Cannon building.
Mace was there with AOC when the riot began.
.@AOC made clear she didn’t know who was at her door. Breathless attempts by media to fan fictitious news flames are dangerous.
My office is 2 doors down. Insurrectionists never stormed our hallway. Egregious doesn’t even begin to cover it. Is there nothing MSM won’t politicize? pic.twitter.com/Tl1GiPSOft

Here is her account of the day as seen of Fox News:
REP. MACE: I was actually two doors down. My office’s two doors down from AOC.
And not at one moment during the events of January 6 did any rioter or any insurrectionist come down the hallways where our offices are located.
I initially took to task the press for making these claims, taking these claims to apocalyptic levels. And all I did was state the facts. I live in reality. I deal with facts and not fiction.
And I said that there were no rioters in the hallways of Cannon. I’m two doors down from you. And she lost it today. She doesn’t deal in reality. She hasn’t been doing that today.
I think it’s really important that we take members to task when they’re not being honest with the American people. This division is hurting our country.
FOX NEWS’ SANDRA SMITH: Congresswoman, are you, just to be clear, alleging that she fabricated this entire story for political reasons?
MACE: She’s politicized the event.
Granted that it is possible AOC might have felt frightened. She seems to be the overly emotional about — well, about everything. But the fact is she was never anywhere near the actual incursion at the Capitol Building, no protesters came anywhere near her, and she was never in any danger at all.
