The incoming Biden crew has signaled their plan to reverse Trump’s rules and to return to the Obama policy of allowing transgenders to use any bathroom they want.
When he entered office, Trump reversed Obama’s so to transgenderism by having his Education Department end Obama’s rules of allowing so-called transgender kids from using any bathroom or changing room they want in America’s schools.
South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, though, was against the return to the Obama era rules.
In fact, Graham said he does not think Biden “has the power” to force such a unilateral change and that he would “like to hear from the schools.”
Graham added that he does not think it is a good idea for biological men claiming to be women to compete in school sports against biological women.
CNS News asked the Sen. the following: “Joe Biden said that on his first day of office he will mandate through Title 9 that all sports teams, locker rooms should be open to transgender students according to their gender identity. Do you think he has the power to unilaterally do this at all federally funded schools and do you agree with this?”
“No, I don’t think he has the power,” Graham said, “and I don’t know if that’s a good idea or not, I’d like to hear from the schools.”
Biden’s website promises to return to the transgender rules.
“On his first day in office, Biden will reinstate the Obama-Biden guidance revoked by the Trump-Pence Administration, which will restore transgender students’ access to sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms in accordance with their gender identity,” the Biden LGBTQ+ policy reads.
Obama’s policy allowed people claiming to be transgender to d anything they wanted regardless whether they had medical reasons or or a doctor’s letter or not.
