Ocasio-Cortez Wastes No Time Politicizing Synagogue Shooting, Immediately Gets Ripped For It

Folks on social media were none too happy with socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after she used the California synagogue shooting that happened this weekend — carried out by a white nationalist — as an opportunity to attack the GOP controlled Senate in a call for gun control.

Well, you know what progressives always say. Never let a good crisis go to waste. Especially when you can use the freshly spilled blood to push for your anti-American political agenda.

A 19-year-old terrorist opened fire on people inside the Chabad of Poway synagogue before being shot at by an off duty U.S. Border Patrol agent who is now said to have prevented a significantly worse tragedy from taking place.

Immediately following the tragic attack, Ocasio-Cortez tweeted: “Heartbroken to hear of the San Diego synagogue shooting, particularly so on this final day of Passover. We have a responsibility to love + protect our neighbors. The longer the Senate delays holding a vote on #HR8, the more we put Americans at risk.”

Ocasio-Cortez completely ignored the Easter day Islamic terrorist attacks at churches in Sri Lanka that killed hundreds of Christians, but the freshman Dem immediately politicized the terrorist attacks on mosques in New Zealand last month, which suggests that she only appears to weigh in on a tragedy when she can politicize it. Both the synagogue attack (according to early reports) and the New Zealand mosque attacks were carried out by openly white supremacist terrorists armed with guns. The Sri Lankan church attacks were carried out by radical Islamic terrorists armed with suicide vests and car bombs.

Twitter users then came out of the woodwork to tell AOC exactly what they thought of her call for “universal background checks.”

Here’s the honest-to-goodness truth that folks like AOC don’t want to hear when it comes to gun control as an actual solution for violent crime.

It doesn’t work. You know why it doesn’t work? Because it doesn’t address the real problem. Guns aren’t the problem. Guns are a tool. Not much different than a hammer. The problem isn’t the tool, it’s the person using the tool.

Unfortunately, the solutions cooked up by the left have nothing to do with fixing the broken, fallen nature of sinful corrupt man. It wouldn’t matter if they did, because no matter how hard they try, there’s nothing they can do about it.

The only solution to fixing this kind of evil is allowing freedom of speech so that Christians can spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and He, by the power of the Holy Spirit, can transform lives and by extension, transform culture.

Until this is the solution sought out by folks, no amount of gun control will change anything.
