K-Love Bans Ads For ‘Unplanned’ Movie, Instantly Regrets That Decision

If you’ve been a believer in Jesus Christ for more than thirty seconds you’ve probably heard of K-LOVE, a popular Christian radio network that plays modern praise and worship tunes mostly.

Well, the network came under heavy fire from listeners after they opted to ban advertisements for the pro-life film “Unplanned,” which chronicles the story of Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood director who eventually became a prominent pro-life advocate in our nation.

“K-LOVE has decided that they will not run any promos for my movie, Unplanned. So, a Christian radio network won’t advertise for a pro-life movie,” she wrote.

“They have stated that they don’t want to promote anything ‘political,'” she explained. “Time for this ‘listener supported network’ to hear from its listeners.”

K-LOVE’s initial response was to double down on their previous position.

We focus on positive and encouraging content that is safe for the whole family,” the page read. “We stand for Biblical truth. We have been and continue to be pro-life and believe in the sanctity of life.””

Johnson herself went on to point out that the radio network ran ads for “Passion of the Christ,” which was also rated R for the extreme violence contained in the movie.

A day later, Johnson announced the network changed it’s mind and would be running the ads for the film after all.

It’s discouraging to see how the modern pro-life movement, especially among Christians, responds to being exposed to the true horrors of the evil and wickedness that goes on in our world.

Without being able to see the harsh reality of horrific acts like abortion, people will not be moved and motivated to take a hardline stance and boldly be a voice for the voiceless. Being a Christian doesn’t mean burying your head in the sand and pretending like awful stuff like this doesn’t happen.

On top of that, we should be fighting to see abortion abolished. Not just these little Band Aid restrictions that don’t really stop abortions from happening. We need it to be fully abolished and made a crime.

If you support locking up someone for murdering an adult, you need to be consistent and support the locking up of someone for destroying the life of a defenseless child. Period.
