Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has once again become the object of intense backlash, a position she’s found herself in constantly ever since she took officer earlier this year, thanks in large part to her doing what liberals do best and politicizing the horrific terrorist attack that took place in Christ Church, New Zealand.
A total of 49 people were murdered in cold blood by a vile white supremacist, and many others were left injured.
AOC seems to be a big believer in the progressive principle of never letting a tragedy go to waste, as she jumped immediately on mocking people for praying for those affected by the incident. However, that was the only her warm-up.
Ocasio-Cortez immediately rushed to politicize the attack, writing on Twitter: “At 1st I thought of saying, “Imagine being told your house of faith isn’t safe anymore.” But I couldn’t say “imagine.” Because of Charleston. Pittsburgh. Sutherland Springs. What good are your thoughts & prayers when they don’t even keep the pews safe?”

Well, one could also ask what good are strict gun control laws and gun bans when they can’t keep the pew safe either? New Zealand has very strict gun laws and those did absolutely nothing to protect these people. It just goes to show that evil people can still get the means they need to carry out their sick and twisted plans.
Folks online had a lot to say about AOC’s response to this horrific tragedy. Here are some of the notable ones.

I don’t care who it came from. She’s an over exposed child. But *of course* it came from *that* person. Of course it did. Do yourselves a favor and mute her. Forever.

She reacts to a Mass Shooting in a Foreign Country with “Yeah, but like , the NRA is totally bad right?”
She also uses this to attack people who pray for others.
AOC is an opportunistic scumbag. https://t.co/C0wsYk6K8d— Joey Salads (@JoeySalads) March 15, 2019
dunking on prayer to stick it to those who are religious and are legitimately praying for the victims is a helluva galaxy brain take

I can only speak for myself, but as a Catholic, I’d much prefer someone not receive an ash cross on her forehead one week only to mock faith the next. It’s really gross.

Prayer is the reason for places of worship.

I’m not sure how thoughtless and callous you would need to be to say the things that AOC said tonight…. but she doesn’t deserve that seat in Congress.
Do better New York.

My God, you’re a terrible person.

Ocasio-Cortez is a petulant child, a point she has made clear over the last several months. The only thing she cares about is pushing a radical, socialistic agenda that is geared toward a fundamental change in America.
When God’s people pray it’s a powerful weapon against the dark forces that plague our world that go unseen by the naked eye. This is a reality, a truth, that humanistic politicians like AOC can’t grasp because there is no room for such a belief in their godless worldview.
Let these people mourn. There will be plenty of time to discuss the issues this all brings up in the days to come.
