According to WCYB-TV, Ethan Wilson left his Mt. Juliet home for Marine training in September in Pensacola, Florida, and had not seen his mom since.

Ethan’s twin brother, Eli, also serves in the Marines but could not travel home for Christmas.

“I cannot imagine going that long without seeing my child,” remarked anchor and mom Ainsley Earhardt.

If that doesn’t just put you in the mood for Christmas, nothing probably will. This is a great story and reminder to think of our men and women in the military this holiday season who are serving overseas and won’t be home with their families for Christmas.

Our troops sacrifice so much for this country, all to protect our rights and freedoms that we take for granted almost every day. Say a little prayer for those not with family this time of year.
