Peter Strzok continues to work for the FBI, although, much to the concern of many including Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), who believes Strzok should have been fired a long time ago. Strzok carried on an adulterous affair with FBI attorney Lisa Page in which the two of them exchanged thousands of text messages, some of which revealed their intentions and efforts to prevent Trump from winning the 2016 election.
Ever since the texts were revealed to the public, Strzok has been vilified by many, and rightfully so, because the FBI is charged with being a non-political agency and Strzok and Page clearly used their positions for political purposes.
It was announced that Strzok has agreed to testify before Congress, but not for the reason you think He claims he wants to clear his name and justify his actions.
(Western Journal – Politics) – The FBI agent whose text pledging “we’ll stop” Donald Trump from winning the 2016 presidential election says he is willing to testify before Congress.
The lawyer for Peter Strzok said in a letter to House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte that his client would be willing to testify without immunity and would not invoke his Fifth Amendment rights in response to any question, according to The Washington Post.
Attorney Aitan Goelman told the Post his client “wants the chance to clear his name and tell his story.”
In a separate interview with CNN, Goelman said “Pete is central to this story. We should let the American people see who he really is.” …
Strzok’s reason for testifying before Congress is just as warped as Hillary Clinton’s continual blame of everyone and everything else for her loss to Donald Trump, instead of accepting the blame herself. Both Clinton and Strzok prove how delusional many Democrats in justifying their illegal actions to support their political cause.
