When everyone in the mainstream media was saying that Hillary Clinton was a sure thing to win in 2016, many of the nation’s top economists did not have a bright prediction for the American economy. They said it might continue to recover but it would be slow and could stall altogether.
When Trump won, they had to re-think their predictions and many of them, (mostly the liberals) predicted that Trump would ruin the economy and throw America into another recession.
Sean Smith is one of the nation’s top nationally recognized economist, who sits on many panels, just admitted that Trump’s economic policies are restoring the American economy more so than even he predicted.
(The Revolutionary Act) – Sean Snaith is not a household name but he is one of the nation’s top economists and highly regarded in economic circles for the depth and accuracy of his projections.
So much so that he is on multiple national economic forecasting panels, including The Wall Street Journal’s Economic Forecasting Survey, the Associated Press’ Economy Survey, CNNMoney.com’s Survey of Leading Economists, USA Today’s Survey of Top Economists, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s Survey of Professional Forecasters, Bloomberg and Reuters.
All this is stated upfront because what he says rightly carries weight in a lot of influential circles, and probably should outside those circles. And he is now supremely optimistic about the American economy going forward.
He made projections last year he said were based on the assumption of a Hillary Clinton victory and her policies being instituted — because that is what all of the political pundits told him. When Trump won, he says, he had to re-think things…
Much to the dismay of Democrats and Trump haters, Smith said that a combination of the GOP tax cuts and efforts to remove many of Obama’s regulations will result in a GDP of 3.5% this year, the highest since before the Great Recession. Furthermore, he said he expects this to continue through 2020. This is huge news that every GOP candidate this year should be using in their campaigns.
