McConnell Backed Convicted Felon Over Trump Supporter in WV Primary

Even though I’m live in Kentucky and have voted for Mitch McConnell in the past, I am joined by many other conservative Republicans who are saying it’s time for McConnell to retire and leave government to those who really care about America and our future.

McConnell has been anti-Trump since Trump announced he was running for office and since Trump won, McConnell has proven that he is incapable of leading the Senate – case in point is his failure on healthcare.

The GOP primary for US Senator from West Virginia received a lot of national attention as the winner will try to win the seat currently held by Democrat Joe Manchin. McConnell backed a man who is a convicted felon largely because the man was anti-Trump, but the candidate that Trump backed decisively defeated McConnell’s choice.

McConnell’s troubles should be mounting so high that they could bury the Senate Majority Leader. If nothing else, his wife’s family should warrant concern and even an investigation. It seems that McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, Secretary of Transportation. It’s not a problem that she was born in Singapore, but her family has strong connections with the Chinese government. Chao’s sister sits on the board for a bank run by the Chinese government.
