Gerald Ford, Hillary Clinton and the Media

Gerald Ford, a Republican, became President of the United States on August 9, 1974 when Richard Nixon resigned in disgrace over how he handled the infamous Watergate scandal. Ford served in the Oval Office until January 20, 1977 when Ronald Reagan was sworn in as the 39th President.

Ford had a stellar career, starting with his football and cheerleading prowess at the University of Michigan. After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, he enlisted in the Navy Reserve, but soon found himself on active duty. He served through World War II and left the Navy in 1946 with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

He was elected to the US House in 1948 and held the seat from Michigan until 1973 when he was chosen by Nixon to be his new Vice President after the resignation of Spiro Agnew. While serving in the House, Ford chaired the House Republican Conference and served as House Minority Leader.

Ford was always known for being active and athletic but after a couple of slips and falls, all of his history was forgotten.

In 1975, Ford traveled to Vienna, Austria on an official state visit. While exiting Air Force One in the rain, Ford slipped on the stairs and fell. He attributed it to a bad knee from his football days. This was the second time Ford had slipped or tripped, the other time was going up some steps.

Comedian Chevy Chase instantly mocked Ford on Saturday Night Live and the mainstream media instantly jumped on the mockery. From that moment on, they continually portrayed Ford as a clumsy and inept president. Nothing was the same for Ford from that time on.

Move forward to the past couple of years and Hillary Clinton.

If you recall, during the 2016 presidential campaign, Hillary appeared to have stumbled and/or passed out a few times. It seems that no recognized comedian mocked Clinton’s falls and the mainstream media did everything possible to make excuses for her mishaps.

In 2017, Hillary Clinton fell down a fight of stairs and broke her ankle, leaving her wearing a surgical boot. Again, no mockery and the media said little other than it was blamed on her high heels.

Earlier this year, Hillary Clinton slipped and fell in a hotel bath and broke her wrist. She was seen publicly wearing a cast on her wrist. Again, no mockery and very little media coverage.

The most recent issue with Hillary involves her being seen wearing a coat and scarf when it was 80 degrees out in New York. With her coat and scarf on, Clinton was photographed showing a very noticeable protrusion behind her shoulder.

The unusual protrusion seems to have two possible logical conclusions.

One is that she was wearing a bulletproof vest but if that was the case, it was very ill fitting and oversized. Besides, if it was a bulletproof vest, that would have made it warmer for her, especially with the coat and scarf.

The second option is that she is wearing a back brace for reasons unknown. Is it due to another fall or some other condition like osteoporosis? She seems to be a lot more clumsy and inept than Ford ever was but you’d never know it from the mainstream media.

Once again, no comedians are mocking her and the mainstream media is remaining silent. You can bet that if President Donald Trump was seen overdressed and with an obvious protrusion from behind his shoulders that the media would be all over it. The media’s silence on Hillary is additional proof to show that the media is NOT about covering the news but is all about helping the ultra-left Democrats and their quest to destroy America.
