Democrats and other critics of President Donald Trump continued to blast him when he took such a strong stand with North Korea and Kim Jung-un. They were certain that Trump was rushing into a nuclear war with North Korea that would end up involving Russia, China and Iran against the US and Japan.
However, Trump’s strong stand is being credited to the sudden move to peace talks with North Korea and the possible denuclearization of North Korea.
Trump is scoring another victory with North Korea as it appears that Kim’s regime is preparing to release three Americans being detained or imprisoned in the Hermit Kingdom.
South Korean activist Choi Sung Ryong, who is connected with sources in the North, told the outlet that the three Korean-American detainees, Kim Dong Chul, Kim Sang Duk and Kim Hak Song, are staying in a hotel outside of Pyongyang. Choi said the U.S. and North Korea were reportedly close to reaching a deal on the captives’ release.
According to Choi, the three detainees were being separated, but were “going on tours, receiving medical treatment and eating good food.”
Diplomatic sources in Pyongyang told the AFP that it was possible the three detainees had been moved ahead of the historic U.S.-North Korea summit, in which Trump and Kim are expected to discuss nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula…
In 2009, Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to strengthen international diplomacy. In 2015, the Secretary of the Noble committee said they regretted giving Obama the award because he failed to live up to his promises. If that deserved a peace prize, then definitely Trump deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for what he is accomplishing on the Korean peninsula.
