Trump Orders DHS to Stop Caravan of Illegals from Entering US

For over a month, a caravan of immigrants from Central America, mostly Guatemala, has been traveling north through Mexico on their way to the United States. At one time, over a thousand people were in the caravan, and despite photos of the group, many liberals denied their existence.

President Trump had asked Mexico’s president to help stop the caravan from reaching the United States and even threatened to eliminate Mexico from NAFTA if he didn’t and it seemed that some of the immigrants were stopped but over 500 have continued towards the US border.

On Monday, President Trump ordered Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to take action to prevent anyone from the caravan from entering the US.

(Fox News) – President Trump said Monday he has “instructed” Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen not to allow “large caravans of people” into the U.S. as a group of Central American migrants starts to reach the border, calling the situation a “disgrace.”

“Despite the Democrat inspired laws on Sanctuary Cities and the Border being so bad and one sided, I have instructed the Secretary of Homeland Security not to let these large Caravans of people into our Country. It is a disgrace. We are the only Country in the World so naïve! WALL,” Trump tweeted early Monday.

The president’s directive came as a group of about 50 Central American migrants who left southern Mexico in March reportedly reached the U.S. border, planning to seek asylum. According to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, asylum seekers must “demonstrate [they] have suffered persecution or fear that they will suffer persecution due to” five factors: race, religion, nationalist, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.” …

Liberals want to allow them in as the immigrants are wanting asylum from the conditions in their homelands but America cannot possibly accept everyone claiming asylum as we would quickly become extremely overcrowded with people, short of supplies and resources to take care of them and it would cause a huge economic disaster for the American people.
