Once again, liberal Democrats (AKA neo-coms = new communists with same old ideology) are in an uproar with President Donald Trump because he has ordered National Guard troops to help secure our southern border with Mexico. Some have said that he has over-stepped his authority but they soon forget that not only did President George W. Bush send National Guard troops to the border but so did Barack Obama. If it was okay for Obama to do it, then why are they so upset with Trump for doing it?
Homeland Security Adviser Tom Bossert defended Trump’s order and added that before National Guard troops are removed from the border that more states will gladly send some of their National Guard troops to the border to help protect America.
(New York Daily News) – A top White House security aide claims governors will embrace the decision to line up National Guard troops along the border with Mexico — even though some states are already pushing back.
“Not only are the border states and the border governors complying and applying their National Guard resources, I bet when you’re done with this we’re going to see the majority of governors of this country sending their guard forces,” Homeland Security Adviser Tom Bossert said Sunday on ABC News’ “This Week.”
President Trump last week announced he wants troops at the border as he lashed out at current immigration policies.
Border states including Texas and Arizona have already sent about 400 troops, while Arkansas and Wisconsin have expressed support for the President’s plan…
The main problem with using National Guard troops on border is that they have no authority to act in a law enforcement capacity, which is something hopefully Congress will remedy soon. What good is having a trained and powerful military if they are not allowed to take proper action to secure and protect our own border?
