California has over 3 million illegal aliens (which just happens to correspond to the number of illegal votes cast in the 2016 presidential election and which without these votes, Trump would have won the popular vote over Clinton). This is the largest state population of illegal aliens in the nation and yet California’s liberal Democrats continue to openly defy federal immigration laws by declaring the entire state to be a sanctuary state.
After a series of defiant actions by some of California’s leaders, US Attorney Jeff Sessions has stated that he is determined to defeat California’s sanctuary status and force them to abide by and comply with federal immigration laws and immigration officers.
(Breitbart) – Attorney Jeff Sessions told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview on Wednesday morning that he expects to prevail in a lawsuit filed by the Department of Justice Tuesday evening against California’s “sanctuary state” laws.
In his first interview since the DOJ filed the lawsuit, which challenges the constitutionality of the California statutes under the Supremacy Clause, Sessions told Breitbart News that he was optimistic about the case’s prospects.
“We believe that we cannot accept the kind of restrictions that California placed on federal law officers, and we believe that their actions exceeded the Constitution, and we will win in the courts eventually,” he said.
The state’s elected leaders — all Democrats — slammed Sessions’s lawsuit on Tuesday evening. Governor Jerry Brown, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), and Attorney General Xavier Becerra all took to Twitter to oppose the lawsuit. Becerra even claimed that he was determined to “uphold the law” — state “sanctuary” law, as opposed to federal immigration law…
I still contend that the best way to combat all sanctuary cities, counties and state is to arrest the leaders responsible and charge them with obstruction of federal law enforcement officers as well as being complicit to illegal immigration and that these charges should be made for every illegal they protect, so if California is protecting 3 million, state officials face 3 million charges each.
