President Donald Trump has dared to suggest that selected teachers and school staff should be trained and armed to help prevent or stop school shootings. Democrats and the mainstream media say that’s a really bad idea and won’t help and they point to the cowardiced deputy at the Parkland shooting to prove their point.

On Tuesday, a shooter tried to attack Great Mills High School in Maryland. Fortunately, an armed security guard was present and unlike the deputy in Florida, the guard engaged the shooter, stopping him from harming any more students. Reports indicate that 2 other students were injured and that the shooter was shot and died from his wounds, thanks to a good guy with a gun who happened to be in the right place at the right time.

(Breitbart) – Reports indicate a resource officer at Maryland’s Great Mills High School “exchanged gunfire” with the attacker Tuesday morning to end the threat.

Breitbart News reported news of the shooting and indicated that St. Mary’s County Sheriff Office was on scene and FBI and ATF agents were en route.

Injuries are reported as three, including the shooter.

ABC 7’s Brad Bell tweeted:

Many anti-gun Democrats and liberals condemned Trump when he spoke about the best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun and in this case, Trump was proven right and the security officer should be hailed as hero for saving the lives of many students. It also demonstrates the importance of having someone trained and armed on campus at all times and with tight budgets, the best solution for most schools is to select certain teachers and staff and have them properly trained licensed and armed, since most schools cannot afford to hire full time security personnel.
