President Donald Trump has issued three different executive orders to stop immigration and refugees until the immigration vetting system which could be revised to help screen out possible terrorists. He understood the dangers of terrorists trying to enter the country disguised as needy immigrants or refugees, like they have in Europe.
Many of the terrorist attacks that have taken place in places like Belgium, England, France and Germany, were carried out by terrorists who hid among the thousands of refugees that fled the Middle East.
Yet, Democrats were against blocking the immigration or acceptance of refugees from the Middle East, even though there was a high danger of letting terrorists into the country. Some claimed the danger of terrorists was so small that it didn’t warrant the banning of all immigration and refugees from certain countries known to produce the greatest number of terrorists. Liberal judges, mostly those appointed by Barack Obama, abused their judicial power to block the President’s executive order. Even after the US Supreme Court ruled that Trump did have the power and authority to ban or restrict certain immigration and refugees, liberal judges continued to believe they had more power and authority than the President.
To be honest, every one of these liberal judges should be removed from the bench. After all, the US Constitution, Article III, Section 1. states:
“The judicial Power of the United States shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour,…”
When a federal judge uses his or her bench to push their political agenda over and above the law, then they are no longer in good Behavior and therefore should be removed from their judicial position.
So, how wrong are Democrats or how right is President Trump in wanting to impose travel bans on terrorist producing nations? Is the threat really that real to warrant such drastic measures?
According to a recent release by Judicial Watch, our current legal immigration system is seriously flawed and dangerous:
“Illustrating the national security threats created by the nation’s immigration system, the overwhelming majority of individuals convicted of terrorism are foreigners who entered the United States legally through various federal programs. Three out of every four convicted terrorists between September 11, 2001 and December 31, 2016 are foreign born and came to the United States through our immigration system, according to a new report issued jointly by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Justice (DOJ).”
“At least 549 individuals were convicted of terrorism-related charges in American federal courts since 2001 and 402 of them—approximately 73%–were foreign-born, the report says. Here’s the breakdown by citizenship at the time of their convictions; 254 were not U.S. citizens, 148 were naturalized and received American citizenship and 147 were U.S. born. Additionally, 1,716 foreigners with national security concerns were removed from the United States. The Trump administration stresses that figures include only those aliens who were convicted or removed and therefore do not represent the total measure of foreign terrorist infiltration of the United States. Statistics on individuals facing terrorism charges who have not yet been convicted will be provided in follow-up reports that will be made available to the public.”
Judicial Watch concluded with the following:
“‘The United States faces a serious and persistent terror threat, and individuals with ties to terror can and will use any pathway to enter our country,’ the new DHS/DOJ report states. ‘Accordingly, DHS has taken significant steps to improve the security of all potential routes used by known or suspected terrorists (KST) to travel to the United States to ensure that individuals who would do harm to Americans are identified and detected, and their plots are disrupted. These figures reflect the challenges faced by the United States and demonstrate the necessity to remain vigilant and proactive in our counterterrorism posture’.”
The threat is real and the system is seriously flawed, and the figures provide sufficient evidence to support President Trump’s executive orders and his desire to protect America and the American people.
The real question that everyone should be asking Democrats, is why they are so opposed to protecting America and Americans from the threat of terrorist attacks? It’s the same question that they need to be asked about why they fight securing our border after evidence of increased Muslim and terrorist infiltration into the country via illegally crossing our southern border with Mexico?
These are the questions and issues that need to be brought up during every 2018 Democratic campaign. Democrats need to account for their resistance to protecting America and the American people.
