Akayed Ullah is a 27-year-old immigrant from Bangladesh who has been living in the United States for the past 7 years. The wanna-be terrorist built his own pipe bomb and suicide vest and then traveled to the subway in Manhattan. He intended to set off the device to cause a lot of damage and casualties, however, the homemade explosive device exploded sooner than Ullah intended.

Authorities are not reporting any casualties but the explosion did cause a lot of panic in the subway tunnel that linked the Port Authority bus terminal with Time Square.

Unfortunately, Ullah survived his own bomb, but I guess that’s also good as he is talking to police and telling them the bomb was his revenge for what the US has done to ISIS.

(New York Daily News) – The Bangladeshi man accused of trying to blow himself up in a subway passage near the Port Authority Bus Terminal Monday morning is a former livery driver who carried out the bungled bombing in the name of ISIS, sources said.

NYPD investigators and FBI agents were swarming several addresses in Brooklyn linked to Akayed Ullah, 27.

Ullah has legally lived in the U.S. since 2011, sources said. He arrived in the country through a visa for people with relatives who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

He told authorities his attack was in the name of the Islamic State — though he had no direct contact with the terrorist network, sources said…

Since this was an obvious act of terrorism carried out here on US soil, Ullah should be locked away, the key thrown away and the door to his cell welded shut. Once a week, hot or cold, his cell and everything in it should be hosed down with a high-pressure hose and clean sheets provided. Other than that, they could cut his cell open after they find him dead from old age, at least that’s what I would do if it were up to me.
