When you think about a sexual predator of kids, you often picture a 30s to 50s something man who lives alone and has a long history of sexually oriented crimes. You never think of a sexual predator as being someone as young as 10 years of age, but then you’ve never met Joseph Boston, now 18.

On Saturday, his mom called police to turn her son in for suspected molestation of two boys. At the police station, the teenager not only confessed to luring the two boys to a motel room and molesting them, but he went on to admit to molesting about 50 kids, starting when he was only 10-years-old. The confession caught police completely off guard and now scrambling to trace Boston’s 8-years of predation across southern California.

(Washington Post) – Inside the police station, Joseph Boston told investigators that, yes, he had lured two boys into his motel room and molested them — but there was much more to his story than that, according to police in Riverside, Calif.

Riverside police said that on Saturday the 18-year-old went on to detail how he had molested “upwards of 50 children” in cities across Southern California for nearly a decade. He’d been molesting children since he was 10, police said.

The open confession rattled investigators, who spent the weekend retracing Boston’s tracks over nearly half his life, looking for a trail of young victims, police said.

“This is going to affect not only the victims for a long time but also our detectives and officers involved in this — to hear someone just be very open about what they’ve done, and they’re only 18 themselves,” Officer Ryan Railsback, of the Riverside police, told Los Angeles ABC affiliate KABC…

While this news is shocking, it shouldn’t be that unexpected in today’s culture. Our young people are taught there is no God to be accountable and that they need to be concerned about themselves and their own pleasure. They are bombarded with sex on television, movies, magazines, music and the internet. A teen like Boston is just living out that he’s been taught by our decadent society.
