What would you do if someone threatened your family with a gun? What you do if you had a legal gun with you at the time?

19-year old Andres Herrera did the dumbest thing ever and it was the last dumb thing he’ll ever do. He walked into a Popeye’s in San Antonio Wednesday night while Carlos Molina and his family were enjoying a meal at the time.

Herrera made the fatal mistake of pointing his gun at Molina and his family. After being threatened with the gun and watching Herrera threaten others, Molina drew his own legal gun and shot Herrera, who died from his wounds.

(Fox 29 San Antonio) – A father eating a meal with his family shot and killed a robber who threatened him with a gun during a nighttime robbery on Wednesday.

Andres Herrera, 19, walked into the Popeye’s on Southeast Military Drive near South Flores Street shortly before 9 p.m. according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Investigators said Herrera first approached Carlos Molina, 32, who was eating with his family and demanded his property at gunpoint. Molina said he had no money because he used it to buy the meal, then asked if the thief would let his family go…

Chances are you won’t hear about this on the mainstream media because they don’t want the public to know that law-abiding citizens use their legal firearms to stop crimes and protect themselves, their loved ones and others. The armed people there are, the less crime there will be, but gun control is not about reducing crimes. It’s about taking our guns away and making us all helpless victims of criminals.
