There never has been any love lost between the New York City Police Department and Mayor Bill De Blasio. He has done many things that showed support for criminals and his disdain for law enforcement.

A couple of years ago, De Blasio was asked not to attend the funerals of two NYPD officers killed in the line of duty, because of how much the police despised him and for his comments following their murders.

Once again, the NYPD union is outraged and cannot believe the stupid action of the mayor of nation’s largest city. De Blasio has invited protesting NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick to come speak to inmates.

(Constitution.com) – Former NFL player Colin Kaepernick is many things, but a friend to police he is not. Despite this obvious truth, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio thought Kaepernick was the best person to talk to inmates to rile them up against the police who guard them. And the police are rightfully furious.

Kaepernick was invited to tour the famed New York prison and to hold royal court with the prisoners on Tuesday, December 12, according to The New York Post, Kaepernick started his day by having breakfast with Rikers’ warden.

Of course, the union that represents guards at Rikers were furious when city authorities invited the notorious cop hating, former San Francisco 49ers player to visit the prison to talk to inmates about so-called “social justice” issues.

There is good reason for police to be upset at the invitation. After all, before his visit, Colin Kaepernick had been a busy fellow…

Why would anyone in their right mind would invite someone who has inspired protests nationwide in professional football and other venues of life, to speak to inmates? The last thing jailers and police want is for someone to stir up the inmates into causing problems and possible violence. If after Kaepernick speaks to the inmates, anything happens, De Blasio should be held personally liable.
