We are repeatedly told that Islam is the religion of peace, but we can see by the way many Muslims treat Christians and Jews that they are anything but the religion of peace. In fact, what many Muslims don’t want to admit is that their holy book, the Quran, calls for all Muslims to either convert non-believers or kill them.

Coptic Christians make up about 10% of the population of Egypt. A group of Muslims kidnapped a 14-year-old Coptic Christian boy and held him for ransom. When the family could not pay, the kidnappers tortured the youth and partially mutilated his face and then left his lifeless body in a canal. It was a message meant to intimidate other Christians in the area from celebrating Christmas.

(World Watch Monitor) – The body of 14-year-old Ishak Nashaat Birwan was found on Wednesday (20 December), 11 days after he disappeared, in a canal near where he lived in Izziyah, a large Christian village near Manfalout in Asyut.

Samir Fekry, Ishak’s cousin, told World Watch Monitor that the body was taken to the morgue at the public hospital in Manfalout for a post-mortem.

“Ishak’s body had facial deformities, it had no eyes and there were signs of torture on different parts of his body,” he said.

Fekry said Ishak’s family went to the police the day after his disappearance but “none of them did anything to help us investigate the matter”…

I’ve worked with former Muslims from Egypt, Iran and Iraq and they have all confirmed that one of the basic teachings of Islam is to convert or kill all non-believers. They also told me that what drove them away from Islam is that the religion taught violence, hate and killing, whereas Christianity is really a religion of peace that teaches believers to pray for non-believers.
