At time in America, one was in prominent political positions for a number of years or was an honored military leader before running for President of the United States. Barack Obama pretty much changed that after rising from a state senator to US Senator to President in less than 4 years. Then Donald Trump, with no political background but a great career as businessman, surprised many by winning last year’s presidential election.
Once the precedent has been set, other national political newbies are already lining up for a 2020 run for the White House and they’re all Democrats. First these is Sen. Elizabeth Warren who has only been a US senator for 4 years and then there is Kamala Harris who was elected to the House in last year’s election.
Add to the list of Democratic newbies with presidential aspirations the 3-year governor of Virginia, Terry McAuliffe, whose term ends in January 2018.
(Keep and Bear) – Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat, is allegedly “seriously” thinking about running in the 2020 presidential race.
A friend of the governor said, “He’s given me every indication that he’s taking it seriously,” the friend continued, “I don’t think he’s 100 percent decided that this is something he’s planning to do but it is something he’s seriously considering.”
“Whether he pulls the trigger or not, that remains to be seen,” he or she added.
McAuliffe could successfully talk about his track record as governor of Virginia, a purple state, former aides and associates say. But should he decide to run, the governor would face some obstacles.
For starters — his close ties to Bill and Hillary Clinton…
There is one thing that all of the early 2020 Democrats have in common and that is they all hate for the American people to own and possess guns. They all would love to be able to ban all private gun ownership, leaving law-abiding citizens defenseless against the many criminals who will have guns and who will use them against us citizens.
