In the past week, North Korea’s supreme dictator has said that his nation is ramping up efforts to develop nuclear weapons so they can ‘obliterate the gangsters in the US’, referring to President Donald Trump and his administration.
Kim Jung-un has lived up to the nickname that Trump pinned on him of Little Rocket Man as his nation tested a new intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching anywhere in the United States. The new test increases the tension and threat posed by the Hermit Kingdom.
Evidently, the new sanctions placed on North Korea have had no effect on curtailing their deadly path to nuclear warfare.
Donald Trump has vowed to “take care of it” after North Korea claimed to have successfully tested a new intercontinental ballistic missile that it said was capable of striking any target in the United States.
The US President was briefed while the missile was in the air, the White House said, and later declared: “It is a situation that we will handle.”
The announcement of the new “Hwasong-15” missile, made in a special broadcast at noon local time on Wednesday, came hours after a long-range missile was fired into waters off Japan in what was believed to be its longest-range test yet.
Kim Jong-un’s rogue regime launched the missile, its first for more than two months, in the middle of the night and it flew for around 590 miles, reaching an altitude of 2,781 miles – more than 10 times the height of the international space station – and splashing down 53 minutes later in the Sea of Japan…
Even though North Korea may have a new missile with longer range, experts doubt that the missile is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. However, other reports have said that North Korea is working hard to develop the nuclear weaponry with which they intend to use against the US and our allies. Places like South Korea, Japan, Hawaii and Guam are already taking measures to prepare people for a possible attack.
