The basic premise of the American judicial system is that you are innocent until proven guilty, but in today’s warped and twisted society, a person is often presumed guilty until proven innocent. That’s the ways the GOP establishment is treating Roy Moore, the GOP candidate in the race to fill Jeff Sessions’ vacated Senate seat.
After a woman suddenly appears only 1 month before the December special election and claimed that Moore sexually assaulted her 39-years ago when she was only 14. Moore has adamantly denied the allegation and claims that it is nothing more than a political smear attempt to ruin his chances of defeating his Democrat challenger. Yet, the GOP establishment, all the way to the White House is treating Moore as if he is guilty, before any evidence to support the charge is known.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), the Senate GOP’s campaign arm, will no longer help fundraise for Alabama GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore, according to paperwork filed with the Federal Election Commission.
The split follows allegations that Moore had inappropriate sexual conduct with a minor decades ago.
The NRSC removed its name from the Alabama 2017 Senate Victory Committee, a joint fundraising committee that also includes the Alabama Republican Party and the Republican National Committee.
The news was first reported by the Daily Beast…
It’s no surprise to see the neo-com mainstream media and Democrats run with the allegation, but to see how GOP leaders are reacting is not only discouraging but a disgrace and totally wrong. Republicans are worried about losing a single Senate seat to the Democrats, but it sure seems that they have resigned themselves to handing the Alabama seat to the Democrats before they even know the truth or details. I hope and pray that Moore can somehow overcome this smear campaign and win the special election.
