The war of words between North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un and President Donald Trump has been ramped up to a whole new dangerous level over the past week.
Kim has been threatening to attack the US or some of our allies for over a year. At the same time, he has had his experts furiously working to improve and build a missile system capable of reaching the United States and to develop nuclear weapons that could be miniaturized enough to fit on top of those missiles.
Barack Obama basically dismissed Kim’s warnings. President Trump is not like Obama and warned Kim that the United States would defend itself and our allies.
As Kim’s regime seems to now have missile capability of reaching the US and to equip the missiles with nuclear warheads, the warnings have become tenser. In his latest warning to Kim, Trump told him he would regret it fast if he dared take any action against the US.
President Trump said Friday that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will “regret it fast” if he threatens or attacks any U.S. territory or ally, while acknowledging his team is considering military options “very carefully.”
“If he does anything with respect to Guam or any place else that’s an American territory or an American ally, he will truly regret it and he will regret it fast,” Trump told reporters Friday afternoon at his New Jersey golf club.
The warning was the latest escalation in what has become a war of words between the two countries. Trump has spent the week turning up the heat on North Korea, specifically warning the regime of real consequences if it carries out an attack on Guam, the U.S. territory the country has threatened…
It’s become obvious to everyone that Kim Jong-un doesn’t care about the threats from anyone, especially those made by Donald Trump. He hasn’t listened to the world or anyone He has his mind made up like any other immature leader who has a lot of power and doesn’t know what to do with it. Like most bullies, the only thing that will make Kim listen is to get his nose bloodied, but he has to make the first move before than can happen and that first move may be too late to save him, his country and his people.
