After the United Nations passed very strict and harsh sanctions that could cost North Korea over $1 billion, the rogue nation’s dictator intensified his threats against the United States. President Trump responded by warning Kim Jong-un that any hostile action against the US will be met with ‘fire and fury’ the likes of which has never been seen.

Kim responded by specifically stating that the US territory of Guam could be a likely target for a missile attack. Guam is only 2,000 miles southeast of North Korea and well within the range of their missiles.

Secretary of Defense Gen. James Mattis (Retired), issued a warning to Kim begging him not to do anything that would cause the US to destroy his nation and his people.

Many critics of Donald Trump condemned him for using such harsh words with Kim, saying they will only incite the immature dictator to take drastic measures. Kim again pointed at Guam as a probable target. Trump has defended his warning, saying it was not strong enough.

President Trump on Thursday doubled down on his “fire and fury” warning to North Korea, saying the country should be “very, very nervous” about even thinking of attacking the United States or its allies.

Pushing back against critics who suggested his comments earlier in the week were too forceful, Trump told reporters: “Maybe it wasn’t tough enough.”

“They’ve been doing this to our country for a long time, for many years,” the president said of North Korea. “It’s about time that somebody stuck up for the people of this country and for the people of other countries. So if anything, that statement wasn’t tough enough.” …

One report I just saw said that North Korea only has a couple dozen nuclear-weaponized missiles at the most. One US submarine in the area carries up to 200 nuclear-armed missiles, enough to completely destroy the entire nation of North Korea. If it comes to a ‘pissing’ match, North Korea doesn’t stand a chance. However, in the process, millions of people on both sides could be killed or suffer the long-term effects of a nuclear war.
