On his way to France, a reporter asked him if he was joking about building a solar powered wall. Trump responded by saying he was not joking. He’s very intent on building the border wall and equipping it with solar panels to produce electricity to be used to power the monitoring devices planned to help secure the wall and border.
President Trump said Thursday his administration is considering equipping his proposed border wall with solar panels to generate electricity.
A reporter on board Air Force One on the way to France asked Trump whether he was joking about building a “solar wall.”
“No, not joking, no. There is a chance that we can do a solar wall. We have major companies looking at that,” replied Trump.
Trump added that “there is a very good chance” a solar wall could be built, and that “there’s no better place for solar than the Mexico border — the southern border.” …
A number of nations have walls and fences along their borders. Some are built to keep illegal and unwanted people out of the country and some walls have been built to keep people inside the country. Israel has a border wall along a large section of border and it’s designed to keep Hamas and Palestinian terrorists out of the country. That’s a concept that Democrats have yet to grasp.
