Rice Not Testifying Today before House Committee

President Donald Trump and his legal team have accused Barack Obama’ national security adviser Susan Rice committed a crime when she asked government analyists to reveal the names of certain people named in intelligent reports and then revealing those names herself. Facing tough questions, Rice’s scheduled closed-door testimony before a House panel today has been postponed.

Susan Rice is no longer expected to visit Capitol Hill on Tuesday for a meeting with the House committee probing allegations she “unmasked” President Trump associates in Russian meddling probes.

Rice had been expected to face tough questions on her role in the matter while serving as then-President Barack Obama’s national security adviser. Trump alleges Rice may have committed a crime by asking government analysts to disclose the names of his associates documented in intelligence reports.

A number of House Republicans have been waiting for the chance to question Rice, who like other Democrats, claim no wrong doing, but for reasons as yet not revealed, they will have to wait to get Rice in the hot seat. However, if roles were reversed, you can bet that Democrats would be screaming to get one of Trump’s people in the hot seat and would not tolerate such a postponement.
