Everyone knows there is a distinct difference between Republicans and Democrats. I’m not speaking about the politicians in Washington DC, but the general public. Our presuppositional religious and foundational beliefs and views govern how we see the world around us and how we interpret that world.
For instance, a biblical presuppositional foundation will lead one to accept the biblical account of creation and reject the atheistic belief in evolution. A secular presuppositional view will lead one to reject the biblical view of creation and believe in the atheistic theory of evolution. I’m not talking about religion versus science, because that is a liberal fallacy that all too many believe. It comes down to our personal religious beliefs – either biblical or atheistic.
Allow me to explain. A fossilized dinosaur bone is discovered in a layer of sedimentary rock. That is the science. A biblical creationist will interpret this fact through their presuppositional views and conclude that the dinosaur was most likely killed during the Genesis flood and buried in the sediment created by the flood and then fossilized. An evolutionist will interpret this fact through their presuppositional belief in millions of years and conclude that the dinosaur either died in a localized flood or died along a lake and the body was then covered with sediment and fossilized. Same facts. Same science. Different interpretation based upon a foundational belief.
The same applies with our political views; they affect how we view many things in the world around us. This was discovered by a recent poll conducted by the Pew Research Center.
They asked people about five major institutions in the United States and whether or not they believed they had a positive or negative impact on the nation. They found a marked difference between Republicans and Democrats.
One of those institutions was banks and financial institutions. Democrats viewed banks and financial institutions as having a more negative (54%) impact to only 37% of Republicans who viewed them as having a negative impact on the nation. On the flip side, more Republicans (46%) saw banks as having a positive impact on the nation compare to only 33% of Democrats.
Democrats also saw labor unions (59%), colleges and universities (72%), as having a more positive impact on the nation. Republicans viewed the same institutions – labor unions (46%), colleges and universities (58%) as having a more negative impact on the nation.
When asked about the national news media, both Democrats and Republicans responded that they have a more negative impact on the nation than a positive impact. Democrats were close with 46% saying negative impact and 44% believing they had a positive impact. This was surprising to me since the bulk of the national news media has become the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party. Republicans were more split than Democrats with only 10% saying the national news media had a positive impact on the nation while 85% said they saw the media as having a negative impact on the nation. You can put me in with the 85% as I believe the mainstream media is an enemy to everything good and decent about America and have joined with Democrats in an effort to destroy America.
The real shocker that should be telling as to why many Democrats support so many immoral lifestyles was how they viewed the impact of churches on America. Thirty-six percent of Democrats said they believe that churches have a negative impact on our nation. Only 14% of Republicans felt the same. On the flip side, only 50% of Democrats said they believe that churches have a positive impact on America compared to 73% of Republicans see churches as being positive.
This explains why far more Democrats support LGBT activists, abortion – Planned Parenthood and illegal aliens. It helps explain why they so strongly oppose conservatives, traditional family values and the traditional family structure of one man with one woman. It also explains why so many Democrats, like Barack Obama has waged war against Christianity in America.
