When fired FBI Director James Comey testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee, Democrats were hoping he was swear under oath that President Donald Trump committed some kind of crime, but he didn’t. Instead, he did testify that Obama’s Attorney General Loretta Lynch did push to get him to ease off of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email scandal. Now, one of the most liberal members of the Senate, Diane Feinstein (D-CA), is asking for an investigation into Lynch’s activity concerning her obstruction of justice.
I have to admit I’m a little shocked at that Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) said that Congress should investigate whether or not former Attorney General Loretta Lynch put pressure on former FBI Director James Comey to cover for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
“I think we need to know more about that,” Feinstein told host Brianna Keilar on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “And there’s one way to know about it, and that’s to have the Judiciary Committee take a look at that.”
Feinstein the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee went on to comment about Comey’s Thursday testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee…
To hear Feinstein call for an investigation into a former top Democrat like Lynch is like hearing Putin call for an investigation into the Russian invasion of the Ukraine, it just doesn’t happen. Hopefully, the Senate will oblige Feinstein and launch an investigation into the allegations Comey made about Lynch and that they’ll find enough evidence to convict her.
