In 1994 through 1996, I attended a graduate school in the San Diego area. During that time, it became obvious that the San Diego metropolitan area had a rather large Hispanic (many of which were illegal) population, along with a large LGBT community. I was advised by several residents of the area to avoid the Balboa Park and Mission Bay areas as they had become the centers of LGBT activity. On several occasions, I had the opportunity to drive north on Interstate 5 to the University of California San Diego (UCSD) to use their library. On the way, noticed a very visible and lavish looking mosque, which made me realize that the area also had a significant Muslim population.
In February of this year, I wrote a piece posted on Constitution.com, about the San Diego School Board launching an anti-Islamophobia campaign:
“According to a recent report from EAGNews:”
“The San Diego school board’s anti-Islamophobia campaign kicked off at Logan Elementary School Thursday with lessons from the Council on American-Islamic Relations.”
“CAIR spokesman Hanif Mohebi told the mostly Latino seventh- and eighth-graders he was just like them once, and Muslim bullying is the same thing as Latino bullying, according to KPBS.”
According to the FBI, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Muslim American Society (MAS) both serve as front groups to help funnel money and information to the Islamic terrorist groups.
Not only does the FBI list them as having ties to terrorists, but the United Arab Emirates (UAE) recently listed both CAIR and MAS as being foreign terrorist groups. The UAE has outlawed both groups from operating in their country.
In 2014, Barack Obama met leaders of CAIR and MAS and agreed to work together to fight the decision of the UAE in listing them as terrorist organizations. In 2009, our own FBI cut all ties with CAIR because they were not an appropriate group to be associated with.
Prior to that in 2006, CAIR was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial, in which the Holy Land Foundation was found guilty of funneling millions of dollars to Hamas. The US Department of Justice (before Obama and Holder corrupted it) stated that CAIR was involved in the conspiracy to finance Islamic terrorism and that they took their orders directly from the Muslim Brotherhood.
The San Diego School Board has welcomed a Muslim group with ties to Islamic terrorism to indoctrinate school kids into accepting Islam, yet opted not to invite Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to visit as she would be too controversial and against their core values. Something is definitely wrong with their priorities.
A group of parents also feel that way and have filed a lawsuit against the school district over their anti-Islamophobia campaign. The reason for the lawsuit is that they claim it’s a violation of the US Constitution because it is favoring one religion over others. The lawsuit was filed by Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund on behalf of six parents. FCDF told the media:
“It’s our position that the anti-bullying policies should protect all students regardless of ethnicity and affiliation, and they shouldn’t be singling out any religious group for special treatment, as they seem to be doing here.”
I want to note that Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund would just as gladly filed a lawsuit if the school district had brought in a Christian or Jewish organization to work with them and the students. I don’t agree with or favor what FCDF believes or stands for, however, I am glad to see someone finally being brave and bold enough to fight against the influx of Islam in the public schools.
During the past 8 years under Obama, many schools openly taught Islamic beliefs to students while rejecting anything to do with Christianity or Judaism. Students were taught the Call to Prayer and even Islamic conversion verses, yet were not allowed to sign traditional Christmas carols or even celebrate Christmas or Yom Kippur. There has been a double standard for Islam that needs to be stopped at all cost. If you can’t teach or have anything associated with one religion, you shouldn’t be allowed to teach and indoctrinate students with a different religion, especially one so destructive and hate-filled as Islam.
