Will America Become the Next Venezuela?

Do you know what socialism really is and how it’s defined? Dictionary.com provides some excellent definitions:

“1- a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

2- procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.”

Now think of what I’ve been saying for several years that the term ‘social justice’ is the new politically correct term for socialism. Also think about everything the Democrats have been trying to do for the past several decades, especially during the past 8 years. Obamacare took control of the healthcare industry. For a short time, the government took control of the top three auto makers. Obama’s government grabbed millions of acres and then used the EPA to control many land owners on how they could and could not use their own land. The vast majority of programs, rules, regulations (coal, oil, energy production) and climate change are all geared to place more sectors of industry under some form of government control, just as defined above.

However, Dictionary.com also gave a third definition that speaks directly to America today:

“(in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.”

WOW! That clearly describes the entire platform of the Democratic Party. It’s interesting that the Democratic Party is the one moving to socialism and communism. Consider how many communist countries use ‘Democratic’ in their name. It’s what many public schools are teaching as a recent poll indicated that 44% of millennials accept socialism over capitalism. It also explains why fewer Democrats are proud to be Americans.

That’s why one definition I heard for the term ‘democratic’ is that it’s the system where voters select leaders to dictate over them. This is opposed to a ‘republic’, which is what America was first set up to be, where voters select people to do the will of the people. America is no longer a republic, especially when you listen to the men and women in Congress, pushing their beliefs and values, not those of the people.

Do you want to see just how successful socialism can be? Take a look at a recent report on Venezuela, a nation ruled by socialism since 2002 when Hugo Chavez became president. As reported by Fox News:

“Here’s the legacy of Venezuela’s experiment with socialism: daily riots and protests that have resulted in at least 40 deaths in recent weeks at the hands of government security forces. Inflation estimated at 720 percent. Shortages of basic foods and medicines. An average weight loss among Venezuelans of 19 pounds, which had nothing to do with the South Beach diet. Newborn babies deposited in dresser drawers because hospitals have no beds. Zoo animals hunted down and butchered for food by the ravenous population.”

“Finally, this week, and only at the urging of the United States, the United Nations is considering the desperate situation in what was once South America’s most prosperous country, before socialism sank its fangs in, sucking the economy dry.”

Under Barack Obama, the United States was being transformed to like Venezuela. Had Hillary Clinton won the election, America would have been dragged further down the road to socialism. Hillary’s main opponent in the primaries was Sen. Bernie Sanders, who openly admits that he’s a socialist. Most of the other prominent Democrats are actually socialists in their actions and agendas, even though they deny it. The only reason they deny being a socialist is that most Americans still have a negative reaction to the term or anyone who identifies as one.

Be assured, if Democrats regain control of American politics, the United States will become another Venezuela and the American people will feel the impact.
