Flynn Defies Congressional Subpoena, Says Investigation into Trump & Russia is Nonsense

Everyone expected former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to show up before Congress in response to being subpoenaed to testify. Many thought that Flynn would show and gladly through Donald Trump under the bus after the way he was fired and treated by Trump and Mike Pence. However, Flynn did not respond to the committee like everyone expected and then he slammed them saying it was all nonsense and fishing expedition.

The entire farcical Senate investigation into Donald Trump’s ties to the Russian government is nonsense, according to Michael Flynn, and he doesn’t care who hears him say it.

In a move that will have many in Washington wondering how Flynn can stand up so straight under the weight of his own testicular fortitude, the former National Security advisor to Donald Trump has flatly refused to provide subpoenaed documents to the Senate, claiming that their order to do so was unwieldy and morally worrisome.  In Flynn’s own words, the Senate’s subpoena was so wildly vague and sweeping that it could very easily be likened to a “fishing expedition”.

Flynn’s surprising response to the Senate committee is sure to make Democrats irate as they expected the retired general to provide them with all the information they would need to impeach and remove Trump from office. He was one of their best hopes of convicting Trump, but alas, they will have to look elsewhere in their witch hunt.
