Link Found Between Obesity in Early Pregnancy and Epilepsy in Children

Obesity increases the health risks for people carrying too much weight for their bodies. It has been linked to diabetes, heart disease, stroke, fatty liver and more.

Obesity can be a problem for many pregnant women as they automatically gain extra weight with their developing baby. We often hear pregnant women say they are eating for two and while there is some truth to that, it’s still easy for many to gain too much weight during this time.

New research has found that when a pregnant mom is obese in the early stages of pregnancy, the chances of their child developing childhood epilepsy increases.
